Oh, then my Haraela retrocala had a great TC group even though he just traveled from the Show in Houston an hour northwest to my house. lol

Here are his traveling companions:

Aerangis biloba

Aerangis fastuosa

Aerangis luteo-alba var. rhodosticta

Angraecum didierii

Anoectochilus brevilabris

Coryanthes macrantha

Dendrobium loddigesii

Dossinodes 'Dreamcatcher' (I don't do hybrids but it was given to me)

Dichea neglecta

Lepanthes calodictyton

Masdevallia gemeniflora

Maxillaria minuta (this is cute as hell, fragrant, and really really cute, I know I already said that but it really is tiny and cute, would be a great future project maybe)

Neofinetia falcata (bean leaf type, can't remember the variety's name right now)

Paphiopedilum sanderianum

Paraphalaenopsis serpentilingua

Phalaenopsis bellina

Phalaenopsis schilleriana

Polyradicion (Polyrrhiza) lindenii

Sederea japonica

Tuberolabium (Saccolabium) woodii

Vanda tricolor

I think my Haraella had plenty of company on the way home. Unfortunately, I would have gotten more TCs for him but I ran out of money. lol

Jonny what a great selection you brought home with your Haraella! You got a few that were on my wish list but I really had to behave so I only got one TC. They should be arriving any day now! Work just isn't as fun when I don't receive orchids during the day...lol. I can't wait for the mail man already!

Very nice list! I love the Paraphalaenopsis serpentilingua ...and I love just saying it's name

It's nice to have you growing your Haraella along with us as a non-project member

Yep, it was a nice traveling party. I had potted plants on the floorboard and mounted plants hanging around the truck. I am always happy when surrounded by orchids. lol

No, I don't drive a bus. Most of them are miniatures so all fit very easily in the truck cab.

Becca, my wish list has probably a hundred orchids on it so I came home with no where near a fulfilled wish list.

While that is disappointing at the time, it makes me happy to know I still have many dozens of plants left to hunt down which is part of the fun.

The only one I am kicking myself over is a Grammatophyllum elegans. I collect Grams for growing outdoors and I don't have that one. I saw some and walked around a bit more only to come back and ALL of them were gone! UGH, now I will have to pay to have them shipped from Hawaii which gets expensive with large plants but I don't know anyone else except the Hawaiians who offer Grams.

But I got a bunch I had sought for a long time like Dichea neglecta and Paph. sanderianum and of course Haeralla which I have been wanting to grow for several years now.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes, I plan to collect all 4 Paraphalaenopsis. I was at a local orchid shop and they had an adult Paraphalaenopsis labukensis (sp?). The fragrance was amazing and loved the terete leaves and fleshy roots.

I don't have that one yet but I was happy to add the serpentilingua as my first one of the bunch. I love to say the name too. lol

Yes, it was one of my most sought after species. I had found it several times but way too pricey or too small.

This one is near blooming and has awarded parents AND the important part, it was affordable for my little budget.

I am a poor person so the last is most important. My above list may not seem like someone on a tight budget but I save for the few local shows we have because I get to find plants I want and support the local orchid society and AOS plus save big time on what shipping would cost so I tend to spend a lot at the rare show.

About the "bus" thing Jonny, I have a weird sense of humor and until you get to know me better, take everything I say with a grain of salt.
I am from Maine you know.......we are weird, I think it's the cold.

By the way, I spent 10 years in Corpus Christi, some of the best years of my life. Texas will always be home for me.
