Can I get a copy of the list from Sunday's chat so I can look around for my choice of 3. Thanks!

http://www.orchidboard.com/community...lant-list.html

Everybody should confirm that the plant(s) being chosen are available in at least the U.S. and Canada. Hopefully, they will also be available for our international members.
Unfortunately, a number of those already listed as Favorite 3 are not available in at least one, sometimes, neither country

If a plant is good in both countries, we must then make sure that they are at the same stage of growth.
For instance, L perrinii is available in a number of places but the 3 sizes listed at Oak Hill are all missing the Blooming Size symbol.

I'll be working on this as long as my back allows me to sit at the computer. It's not a good week for me so it may take a little while...and I'm asking for some help on this.

Thanks everybody

God Bless you Sue, I don't think I would have the time to organize this.

Hi Lin

The biggest help would just be for everybody to confirm the plants they are choosing can be ordered by at least the U.S. and Canada, hopefully our members from the 4 other participating will also have availability.

I appreciate your asking

Soo, is anyone interested in doing a paph for the project? If so, here is a list of paph's that are available at Andy's orchids.

Paph. moquettianum(Cloud's)
http://www.premdesign.com/orchidpics...um_backlit.jpg
Orchid Web - Plant of the Week
Paph. primulinum ssp. purpurascens(Paramount)
Paph. spicerianum (Cloud's)
Photo and some information about Paphiopedilum spicerianum
Paph. wardii (Cloud's-they are there and one had a flower on it already!)

Hope this is helpful. I like that Brassada Orange Delight too, but is it the same hybrid?

OK everyone, I just looked back over the 100 plus postings on this thread and tallied the orchids that were suggested by at least 2 people that were available in Canada and the US. Here's the list:

Cochleanthes discolor
Miltonia spectabilis Moreliana
Brassada Orange Delight
Laelia perrinnii
Laelia tenebrosa
Phal. cochlearis
Phal. lindenii
Phal. corningiana
Brassia verrucosa
Amesiella phillipensis
Sarchochilus hartmanii
Paph. venustrum
Paph. primulinum purpurascens
Trichoglottis phillipinesis
Cymbidium dayanum

However, from this list I don't know if all are available at BS. However, the list, at 15, is getting manageable.

So should we start with this list and vote from these choices?

If we're using this short list, then my top 3 would be:

Cochleanthes discolor
Laelia perrinii
Laelia tenebrosa

Thanks for the summary Todd.

Marie
