Has it been hard in the past to reach a consensus with such a wide variety of climates? Right now my growing area is 55-60 at night and 65-70 day. Cool growers are no sweat for me. Warm growers, on the other hand...

Ooo! YOu are chilly aren't ya? I suppose you can expect me to be as flexible as always. Small, intermediate to cool growers, part shade lovers. 
Nah just kidding. Now that I have more practice at this orchid growing thing, I think I can produce some better climates for whoever wants to come and live with me.

Tindo, my new Capanemia uliginosa is full shade growing. How cool is that? Perfect for my pathetic house in winter. I MUST get shelves and fans and lights for goodness sake.

I have to admit, I think I have the temp thing dialed in today. Moved my fans around and now the temps seem to be running a bit more normal for Northern Michigan. We'll see about August, but then I am considering moving the cool growers to the basement under T5 light banks for summer.

I had to do just that this summer. Took me too long to figure it out, so I lost a few things (some masdies, really whacked my bessseae but they should recover).
Next year, even if I do get around to some sort of cooling system, I'm taking those plants to the basement by mid june at the latest. Of course they might still be there, since I don't really have space to move them back out... *grin*

Rob, I potentially have a new room in basement that will be approx 12 feet by 16 feet with no assigned use. I was at first thinking computer room, but it would make a great grow room! Temps in summer rarely exceed 75-80 degrees and only then when outside is in 90s for extended periods otherwise 70s is more likely.

Brassia verrucosa will grow warm, intermediate, or cool...
