My vote is for Phal. lindenii and Phal mariae.
Slow and small might not be so bad for some, and the Phal. lindenii is very pretty according to other pictures I saw on an image search.

Default Comments for project three list

These are the comments for the project three plant list (first message):

Not available in EU:
Phal. corningiana
Coelogyne occulata
Ornithochilus fuscus
Cochleanthes marginata
Dryadella lansbergii
Dryadella zebrina

These I can find, but ordinary species:
C. skinneri "Caerulea"
Phal. violaceae (I've got Phal. violaceae "Borneo")

Too expensive:
Paraphalaenopsis labukensis (45-75e matureplants)
Coelogyne rochussenii (45e)

Sue, you have your work cut out for you...you will have to cross-check to see which of the long list are available to most people. From what I can gather, the list of orchids available in Phillipines, EU, USA and Canada and NOT ALREADY being grown by one of the participants, is actually a small list. And that's not factoring in Australia and Mexico.

Sadly enough, the majority will cast the vote.
We are, and will continue, trying to accomodate everybody...the fact of the matter is that we might not accomplish that.

W have until April, so we can keep tossing out ideas until then. By the end of March, we'll have to start making some serious choices regarding the plants we'd like to choose from...we have to keep in mind that all members participating right now might not be participating at the end.

I'm going to keep looking at the glass as half-full..I'd hate to see anybody left out of this

Congrats on your first orchid, Todd!

Nobody sells Dyakia

Oh well, I guess I'll have to be the only one who has it

Toddybear

Yes I mean, them are available some vendor in EU. I try to checked out 5-6 vendors which has good, extensive selection. Probably they will buy more orchids during next months.

I hope we can close the list more earlier than Sue suggests, so we all have more time to think wich orchid appeal us most.

(sorry me pad enklish )
