How about Paph. venustum. It's supposed to be an easy species to grow.

Very nice list we got here. I had no idea it was so large. Oh boy, this is gonna take a while. That just means more fun!!!! And we got till April anyways. Thanks Sue and Todd and the rest for coming up with the lists and additions.

As long as we are all active in this, I think we'll be able to cover all bases

Thanks again for the help...

I'm going to schedule another chat...

is there any other night (or day ) that's better for any of you? I know we can't make it perfect for everybody but we can try

Hola a todos:
The only one chid of the list, available here in Mexico in Rancho La Joya is Brassia verrucosa so I vote for that one or maybe some kind of Laelia like the anceps alva or the aurea.
Gracias y saludos

I've added it to the list since it's all tentative right now anyway.

Hi again, here's the link for the Miltonia on the list.Species

They also have some Laelia on this page too.

I like the niveum.

Any of the others should be fine except for any vandaceous family........with those you would count me out I guess.

Depending on which ones you guys go for though would depend on availability here. I am easy with anything you pick though.

I should be around this evening for the chat...I was watching the season premier of '24' last night!

With the limited orchids available in Mexico I'm afraid our list may narriow considerably to B. verrucosa...Tony should love that!

I'll have to start looking at the laelias. I expect many people have L. anceps. Maybe Juan should send a list of 10 orchids he can get in Mexico (?)

Funny you should suggest Laelia...I was just looking at them yesterday

For all participants:

We are still at a very early stage of this project...the plants we've listed came from just 10 people in 1 conversation!

Please use this thread to post any plant that you would like considered as a project plant. It would be best to post the name of the plant along with a link to a site that shows a picture and possibly what conditions the plant takes to grow well.

From those suggestions, we'll then see what the general consensus is and if we like it, we have to find a vendor for most, if not all, members to get it.

I'll be in chat tonight...stop by if you'd like to have another rap session
