Okay...I'm going crazy here!!!

Mine has had at least 8 buds and every single one of them have blasted!

I have had it in both tanks, one gets to be 68-70 and the other goes to about 72-72. There's constant air movement, it's getting watered and fed as it "should"...

what the *&(*^ am I doing wrong???

All 8 blasted?? Talk about tough luck! Wish I could help, but since I have no clue what the plant is (and don't even have it) I'm clueless too. Maybe it's a humidity issue?

Maybe it's getting too much light? Try putting it lower in the big tank

I haven't had 8 buds - only three, but just like you Sue, they hae each gotten so far, then dried up. I was thinking humidity and was going to try to up that after Christmas. Too much to do for now, and I don't want to change the plants environment before we go away for a week to the in-laws (just in case something isn't right).

Hopefully, between us we can figure it out!

I'm going to try moving it lower in the tank. The big tank it was in has very high humidity so I don't think it's that

As you said...between us, maybe we can figure it out

Sue--
From what I am reading, I wonder if you are growing too warm...it almost sounds like growing cymbidiums too warm (if you keep them above 55F or so when the buds are forming, they only get so far, then they blast); is it possible to try moving your plant somewhere cooler with relatively constant temps...say low 60's?
Keep us posted...
Adam

I've held off on posting these, as I figured that everyone would probably be getting blooms ?!
This one arrived and within 1 week had buds showing and I ended up with at least 7 flowers the first go round.

Here it is just starting to open

Fully Open

More blooms coming...

Typical bloom

I hate to say this to the rest of you, but this one sends out a full company of blooms, but once they all die off I have new buds within 3-4 weeks. It is currently on it's third blooming cycle!

I grow this one like all my others...Very high light and very warm ???!
I haven't had a bud blast yet.
I did however give it a talk when it arrived explaining the conditions in the Orchid Room, so sink or swim.
I have honestly had very good luck with 90% of the plants that I choose to grow in there, regardless of the grower conditions that are recommended.
