Rob would be great for the vendor , thought about that but was not sure if he had enough to go around, sounds like a great plan to get an OB sponsor and have never been disappointed with Rob's plants and I also have to add it passed the "d*&% it, I dropped my box of orchids test" and it passed with flying colors...

It's great to see Ludisia joinin' in...

You can count me in. How about something like Paphiopedilum venustum. On second thought is there such a thing as a mushroom orchid that will grow in the dark. The sun just doesn't want to shine, (at least on this side of the clouds) here in Atlantic Canada and if it were to, the daylight hours are very short right now.

Sue, good luck keeping track of who signs up in each of the different threads on the go.

My note is actually to say I with Wendy as far as Cloud's Orchids or Orchids in Our Tropics here in Canada.

If I did it in the last project ( ) , I'm sure I can do it for this one I might be certifiably nuts by the end but what the heck

I'm adding you to the list and the 2 vendors mentioned are listed too. Once the plant is chosen, we'll see which of those two places has the one we're getting. Whatever the choice is, it's best for everybody in one country to buy from the same vendor, so the quality has a better chance of being the same.

Gonna be fun...

Sue, another suggestion for a plant might be Lockhartia or some other such plant known more for it foliage than the bloom but is not a jewel orchid.

Ludisia, sounds like we have the same weather problems but you are even further north so your daylight hours must be very short right now.

I have Lockhartia but I'd be intersted in anything pretty You'll see...by the end of this I'll be agreeing to just about anything!!!

Keep a little list going for yourself, and when the discussions start, you'll be ready.

I have 2 or 3 on a list already.

Hi. Count me in, especially if we're getting the plants from Clouds. This does sound like fun. And if we are starting this experiment in the spring, I will have a reason for visiting Clouds again.
P.S. Ironwood: think I saw a couple glimpses of the sun the last couple days. Still suffering sunblindness!
