We usually try to keep the price under $25 (not including shipping). Many of us find lots of chids "we need" along the way and order more than just the project plant...these are called TCs or Travelling Companions 
Can't have the project plant making the trip all alone, can ya? 
Good luck with the weather there. I know how dangerous lightening can be, especially when there's been a water shortage and the trees are dry
