And I have an another Lpt. bicolor plant, that isn't doing as well as the others. (was sort of scrawny to begin with) that I'll unmount and try in sphag in the GH...(These tend to show up on society raffle tables pretty often so I have a few to play with) so I'll try a "warm and wet" approach along with the "cold sometimes, and dry" that I have been using for some years.

I've selected the vendor I want to use but have to wait another month to order to take delivery at our summer place. Of course while I was perusing the website I found another dozen plants I might as well add to the Leptotes order.

well, we r in! our newest genera arrived on friday. looks to be in good condition, so hopefully we can get it to grow. going to keep it in the pot, as the media looks very fresh and seems like it should do mostly ok here. time will tell!

That plant is tiny! Good thing they are fast growing otherwise you'd have a loooong wait for blooms.

I'm still hesitating about where to get mine, depends which vendor 'wins' in terms of other plants I really want.

For what it's worth, I get flowers (at least a few) on really small plants. Since it's a spring bloomer, I would not be surprised if you get flowers next year about this time.

I would not expect blooms this year, even if it were larger. These bloom right around now (it's a spring bloomer) so yours should have already havs started some buds if it were to bloom this year. Definitely expect to see a couple blooms next year though!

I bought mine last spring as a young plant. It bloomed for the first time this spring. It is in an air pot with small bark mix. I keep most of my plants inside of clay pot for the humidity.
