I think I've seen Epi. fimbriatum making some rounds online; looks like it's a small one and the flowers look pretty cute.

You can scratch the Capanemia micromera from the list, I didn't realize that it was a micro mini, and will need a terrarium environment to do well. Not the ideal project plant...

Another suggestion is one from the project 2 years ago that never took off. Vanda ampullacea (ex Ascocentrum ampullaceum) Vanda ampullacea or similar species (V. miniatum). Vanda miniata I would make this one canditate, with the possibility of getting either of these 2, depending on availability.

Tuberolabium kotoense is also a really nice candidate plant. Tuberolabium kotoense

Another nice one is Dendrobium unicum Dendrobium unicum

I've recently become rather interested in trying some non-generic-phal Aeridinae species, so those sound super cool! (Keeping them alive is another matter...)

If we could set a date to have something selected, that would really get this project moving along. That being said, I'll be growing indoors under lights so I am interested in something that doesn't have funny temperature requirements, fussy humidity requirements, and isn't very big. Looking forward to hearing the verdict! Those 2 vanda Camille mentioned are beautiful, by the way

I don't know yet, we have to start looking!

One thing I found is that Tuberolabium kotoense and Tuberolabium quisumbingii are very similar species and are even sometimes considered synonyms, so we can search for both

The only place I saw right off hand in the US was Sophie's Orchids. And it looked like quite a limited number of them...

Neophyte - I see you removed all of the Capanemai species, but Capanemia superflua (uliginosa) could stay in! It was only the micromera which was a terrarium loving micro mini.

I've started looking some of the plants up at various growers.
