I've finally zeroed in on my Neo. It will be Benisuzume (3 growth). Also plan to get Dendrobium Hakuunryu as TC.

I am interested in this project and ordering both plants from NWO, however this will depend on the cost and the type of discount they can offer, if any.

My choice for Sedirea japonica is the standard Nagoran. As for the Neo, I am not sure. I know very little about these orchids. Basically, I am looking for something that will be relatively forgiving and doesn't require a major setup as I just grow on my windowsill. I would like something with a bit of color and fragrance, if possible. Anybody have any suggestions? I would like to keep this on the cheaper side.

Finally, does anyone know if NWO is going to be at the Ann Arbor show in a few weeks? If so, I would be happy to pick up my orchids then instead of paying for shipping.

Thanks everyone! You all are amazing.

Hello there. . .right now we're just putting together a tenative list so that Dr. Lehr can see what we're all interested in purchasing. . .we're hoping that our numbers and our enthusiasm will help him, help us. It may be that he has something in mind for us, something we haven't thought of. . .that he could discount for us as a group.

Chippy, be sure to check out his website for plant choices and I would email them too, ask for suggestions. These people are one of the FEW Neo experts in the U.S. There are lots of really great ones that are not expensive. Just let him know your target budget and ask for his suggestions. And ask about the show pick up. . .that would be a great way to save some moola too.

My understanding is the Neo. is really easy to grow and does very well on the windowsill!

Anyway, that's the plan. . .for now.

Adding you to the list of join ins for the Neo! Dig through his website and let me know what you'd like to order.

Tenative list of orchids we'd like to order. . .for Dr. Lehr to consider, when making up his mind about our discount.

He might have something in mind for us, based on what we as a group are wanting and what he has available that he could discount. . .alternatives etc.

That's my thinking on the subject. . .for now. More later as we hear back from NWO.
