Default New to zygopetalum help needed

Hey! I am totally new to zygopetalum and can’t find out much about their care on the internet. Mine seems to have finished flowering but what do I do now? Do I wait for the spike to turn brown like I do for my phals or should I cut it straight away? Also there is now another growth (see photo) at the bottom of the plant would this be another flower stem or a new pseudobulb? I really have so much to learn about these lovely plants 😀

The spike won't reflower so it is a matter of choice if you want to cut it now or let it dry up. I personally wait until they dry up as any nutrients will be taken back by the plant.

You have a new growth coming, the good news is that they flower on immature growths so with luck you should get a spike or two within the next few months.

Keep it moister than your phals - mine get watered twice a week, but you will need to judge your own needs.

I'm new to zygopetalum orchids too as well. I bought what I thought was a dendrobium nobile or at least that's what the trader Joe's tag said. I have have 3 phals and bought this one for my bday to myself lol. I was so proud I took pics uploaded instantly that's not a den so I started my research as soon I saw a pic unanimous. I was also told it was a hybrid. I know VERY little on zygo hybrid. I'm going to follow you and see what gets sent your way as far as care is concerned. Thank you for your post...B
