My two are outside, but when freezing temperatures are forecast I put them in the garage for the night. They are reasonably happy and bloom regularly, but they are not remarkable in any way.

Do you consider 5ºC/41 F freezing temp or near freezing?

I would consider that near freezing. When the forecast is in the 30's, I move them in. I'm in a cool pocket, so I often see frost on the ground even if a freeze is not forecast.

Here we have frost, mainly in the coldest months (Jan & Feb). But in my balcony so far I haven't any frost. It's north faced but somewhat protected because my house is in a higher ground.

I've had one for about 6 months, it's reblooming right now. I've been moving it right up against the house when low temps below 40F are forecast. When we get forecast temps 36F or below my plan is to put it in the garage. So far it's weathered a forecast low of 38F without missing a beat.

Mine grow outside and get whatever nature gives them. 5ºC/41 F is a fairly common winter night temperature for me... occasionally gets down to 2-3 deg C/35 deg. F most winters (for a few hours), much more rarely down to freezing (0 deg C/32 deg F), again for a few hours. They don't get any particular protection other than the shade cloth. They're fine. Like everything else, if temperatures are headed that low, it's better to keep them a bit drier than normal. If it rains, they get wet... but when it rains, the clouds usually keep the temperature a few degrees warmer.
