Default Lycaste Question

I have this Lycaste that has bloomed twice and has sent put out these two pseudo bulbs/sets of leaves over the past year plus. Will a new spike come from these two or will the leaves die back before a new flower spike forms. I realize I don't fully understand this genus. It's the only Lycaste in my collection.

What hybrid is this? Usually lycaste bloom from a leafless bulb in Spring, depending on the hybrid. From your description, it appears you have a Spring bloomer.

I looked it up on Lehua Orchids website. It is Lycaste balliea and is said to be a cross between L. Macrophylla and virginalis.

Ok, found it. According to orchidwiz both species parents can flower all year round. I don't know the answer to your original question. If nobody else replies, you can always call Lehua.
