As I enjoyed my harrisoniaes and inodora over the years, I looked for more uncommon species in this group of large Bifrenarias. In August - much later than the previous mentioned - my Bifrenaria wittigii surprised me with a single flower with a hairy lip and strong fragrance. All species in this group need a well illuminated place, a well drained potting medium, grow during summer and need a long sunny but cool winter rest.
