First time I've had a Lycaste in flower (let alone owned one). It's a big leafed plant considering only one growth is in flower. I think it's stunning. Enjoy!

And it grows down to freezing and over 100F. It's a sensational plant.

Wow, thats a great flower with a pretty huge range of temps! How does it do with prolonged heat?

I guess it would depend on how prolonged.

We have very hot temps up to as high as 46c here but mostly in the 30's. It grows between my Cymbidiums and Cattleya's and it seems fine. We have had spells of 8 or 9 days in a row of 90F or higher and it is ok provided I have the watering right.

We get regular cool changes so although we can get a week of hot weather, it them cools for a couple of days and then warms up again.
