Bifrenaria aureofulva Male
Default Bifrenaria aureofulva

Often also called Stenocoryne. These smaller sized south Brazilian epiphytes are often neglected by collectors here. Pseudobulbs have a rhomboid cross section, the junction to its single leave is marked by a black ring. Intermediate climate, fresh humid air and a slightly drier winter rest are the requirements. The vibrant orange flowers with hairy lip do not fully open.

Interesting! Quite a bit different than the Bifrenaria species I am used to seeing at shows.
