Beautiful!!! Thanks for the culture tips. I just got a no ID one in bloom. It's on the kitchen table and I take in the scent as frequently as possible. Hope I do as well as you did with yours..

* I got this orchid plant four years ago online from a grower in Wisconsin. This must be an old orchid since it was registered in 1975 by a person from Adelaide....then after a couple of years it was showcased in the Orchid Society of Great Britain....then it must have been lab created and just went global.

Manhattan skies are really fantastic since we are near the sea and any clouds just goes out to the Atlantic ocean after a storm. We also get our share of cloudy day and gray skies....We have some pollution in our atmosphere to give us that fantastic sunset colors in our skyline.
But since we are a concrete jungle with lots of nightlights and neon....we cant see some of the stars at night especially if one lives in a high rise apartment.

This was a Stephen Monkhouse cross (Adelaide Orchids), hence the name. Zygo's seemed to be the next big thing in the late 90's-early 2000's in southern Australia. I don't know if it was due to restructuring of the major nurseries producing them at the time or if the intergenerics couldn't give the breeders enough colour variation to keep the hybrids fresh but interest in Zygos in Australia seemed to suddenly collapse about 10 years ago. We hardly see them at the shows anymore.

I knew an Australian made this hybrid....now I know more about my orchid plant....
