Default Cochleantes White Knight

I am so excited - I have 2 buds on my White Knight (Lip Blush 'Lehua' x Moli-Ere 'Blue Lip') - this is the first flower since I received it a few months ago. It was sent in bloom which, although, pretty beat up from shipping, lasted over a week. I haven't noticed any scent yet but it just opened today. Along with it in the second photo is my Cochleanthes Amazing (Cnths amazonia X Cnths flabelliformis). It's lip is still a bit unfurled. I love it's vanilla/clove spice scent. This plant has been blooming non-stop since I received it this summer.
The flowers are about the same size. Enjoy

Neat. I like the colors!

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

D! Those are very beautiful! I will have to add them to my wish list! My wish list is getting so large, that when it is time to start buy 'chids again, I won't know where to start!

Dorothy

They both are very nice but I especially like the deep color. Aren't they fun to grow? They seem to bloom so often, and all through the year.

Thank you all for your comments of appreciation..
I was lucky to purchase some very healthy plant
When many of my orchids aren't flowering, it's a pleasure having these consistent bloomers.
Becca - you might want to get the Cochleanthes discolor ( I have yet to get one) as they stay much smaller than these but are just as pretty - These plants are in 5 - 6 inch pots and the leaves are at least 12 inches high if not taller.

Dorothy, These are SO beautiful! And scented, too! Free flowering? Sounds like a near perfect plant! Congrats!

Thanks for the recommendation D! I checked it out, and the Cochleanthes discolor is a beauty!

Dorothy, Just beautiful! You and I have similar tastes lately. I've been keeping an eye out for a Cochleanthes amazonica. I just bought a Cochleanthes marginata and I think (not sure) that when I did a search last week for their care, a post came up with you having had one that recently bloomed?, if I'm remembering right. And I haven't forgotten about Blc Haleahi Sunbow!

Great minds think alike!

Enjoy your beautiful orchids!
