Talking Cochleanthes Marginata

I was looking over my orchids and found, to my surprise, that my Cochleanthes Marginata had budded .. Here is the flower partially open

My Coch. Amazing has 2 more open flowers on it and another bud ... that orchid is a blooming machine!

Very cool. How wet does this one like to be? The marginata part of the name rings wetlands bells in my head.

Tindo - Marginata is used to describe the coloration on the edge(margin) of the labellum. I was watering this one about every other day .. then I decided to see if it could go a few more days without so much water. I found that when I allowed it to dry a bit more - it bloomed.
Mauro - the searches are never ending ..

That is beautiful, one I may have to try to find. I have several varities of Cochleanthes, and it is true, they a blooming machines. When I put mine under higher light, they are almost non-stop.

Which ones do you have Grandma?
Besides my amazing and 2 marginatas, I have a White Knight that is beginning to bud
I also have Pescatoria dayana and lehmanii and a kefersteinia species I have yet to identify.
