This is my second year to bloom this plant that I've had for several years. I finally got it to bloom by feeding it a lot during the growing season. It's not as pretty as Merlyn's on this thread, but I'm happy with it.

Yours has 10 blooms !!!! And more buds on the way !!!! Mine put out 3 and now a single 4th bloom with 1 more bud on the way !!!! I think because I let it stay dry too long. My Lycaste guru said to water once lightly every 3 weeks and I left it dry for 2 months before I knew that !!! NOW I know !

I'm beginning to really like lycaste! And this just made me like them even more! Look how many blooms on such a small plant! And they lose their leaves in the winter, even better!

Very lovely, and good photos too. You've done a good job on this plant.

Who cares if "the flower form isn't perfect?" In my book, all orchid flowers are beautiful, no matter what the clone. I'm always grateful when mine do flower, even if some of them aren't as colorful or full as their counterparts.

Having said that, you have a very beautiful Lycaste on your hands.
