I just went to check my Lycaste aromatica, where are the spines supposed to be? Is it that sharp hook at the top of each bulb?

It's no big deal. Not like I lost a pint of blood or anything !!! That would be too much like cutting a cat's claws off because it scratches the furniture !!!

Not quite and before my Bruce became an indoor outdoor cat he and I got manicures every Sunday night. If I didn't do his nails first there was hell to pay.

I ALWAYS gave my cats a manicure, that's different. I meant REMOVING a cat's claws !

Not at all, the only purpose that the Lycaste spines serve is to mutilate unsuspecting humans. I say cut the suckers off!!
