Lycaste aromatica 'S.B.' before/after Male
Default Lycaste aromatica 'S.B.' before/after

This year, I had ~ 70 flowers. Last year, the number exceeded 120. I lost nearly half of the plant over the winter, probably due to rot. I've had this plant for 9-10 years.

My response? DIVIDE! I have eleven divisions with as few as one active lead to as many as eight leads! Of course, some are destined to friends who previously expressed an interest.

Amazing plant, Stitz! That's the best-grown one I've ever seen. Could I buy or trade for a division?

Very cool. Glad to see that you now have a colony! :-) If I were you I'd keep all of them. Just think of how great your home will smell with all of those babies blooming in unison.

Steve, Thank you for your encouragement! I will keep 4 divisions of varying sizes. Don't forget that I had only one plant until recently.

Of course, I saved the best 4 for my collection!

I'm with Nat on this, too! I know you have promised some to close friends, but if there are any left for purchase/trade, please keep me in mind. Thanks

Oh, BTW, what is the purple/lavender flower in the original plant? Or am I so blind/dumb as not to know and should know....
