Default Lycaste aromatica

Here my first Lycaste It smells like cinnamin buns. It's a warm grower and it is deciduous in the winter. It's a recommended first Lycaste. I will be placing this plant outside during the summer so it gets good light. The deciduous species require higher light than the others. The blooms come off of last years pesudobulbs.

Here's the bloom from yesterday night...

And here is the bloom today I'm not sure if it will get more yellow. I hope it does. I also read somewhere that the colour intensity inproves when grown under higher lighting.

Fren, very beautiful orchid and unique! And, with a great fragrance...how lucky you are! Are there other buds ready to open as well? How big is this plant exactly?

It's only has one bloom. I think I has 8 pseudobulbs, but they are probably already bloomed pseudobulbs.

I've seen pics of plants with multiple spikes tough. Maybe in a few more years

Yes, the one I saw at the orchid society show must have been older because it was full of flowers all around, it was very interesting.
