Those are fantastic blooms, Gena. Congratulations. My plant of this species is still a baby, but hopefully I'll see some blooms like yours next spring. Do you give your plant a dry winter rest?

Setve, it depends - of cause, I give much less water during winter month, depending on temperatures and condition of the plant (I mean, if it completely drops its leaves or not) and no fertilizer at all. Despite it I allow the plant to dry out completely before next watering. With increased activity I increase watering as well and start fertilizing. During active part of the cycle the plant get copious amount of water and heavily fertilized.

Very nice Gena! I'm surprised this genus isn't more represented in most collections. I have Chysis costaricensis at home and am eagerly waiting for it to bloom!

I have to say, nice plant, besides the flowers. The flowers are just the icing on the cake! I wonder if it is related to dendrobiums though.
