Firstly, welcome to the board. Be sure to post under Introductions to get your proper welcome.

Second, see this link Zygopetalum - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia where I think you'll see the Zygo belongs under the Maxillieae tribe. Feel free to treat it like an Oncidium or Odontoglossum, however, because they are similarly grown. I would say it probably will benefit from a higher light than Phals. however. My experience with Maxillaria is high light (just a bit less than full sun) and lots of water/drainage are a pretty safe bet.
