Default Paradisanthus micranthus

This is a terrestrial from our southeastern region near the Ocean Atlantic, commonly found growing in the bed of decaying matter, always near the several small water streams which are common in this region. Only trained eyes can locate it mixed with the other vegetation if not in bloom or holding pods. As the lip reveals, it is a Zygopetalinae with large leaves (30-40 cm long) and relatively small (2-2.5 cm), but beautiful flowers. At least one species, Paradisanthus bahiensis, has lavender instead of green flowers.

Many, many thanks for sharing this, Mauro. The combination of green and brown is so serene and beautiful.

You've shown me pictures of many wondeful species that I probably would never have seen!
