Default Zygopetalum Artur Elle 'Randy X Promenaea xanthina

I got this at an orchid show in March, though I was not sure if it would grow too well for me. Not the case! This is the plant's second flowering this year, and I LOVE the colors! To me it seems to really resemble it's Promenaea parent with the shape of the flowers. What a thrilling success! It just opened today!!!

Well done, Elliot. I really like these guys, but don't have much luck with them.

It is scented with a beautiful light perfume! Two more buds were opening today, and the color of the first bloom REALLY filled in. It has been an easy plant for me (despite hesitation) and seems to like alot of water and a long duration of filtered light. It gets about 8hrs of filtered light from 10am to 6pm between a walnut tree and a pine tree, and I try to water it every 2 or 3 days.

Well done Elliot. I'm with Kim on these ones, killed 4 out of the 5 I had and not sure why I'm keeping the 5th....torturing myself. Beautiful blooms.

I've been having alot of trouble with the two Prom hybrids I picked up recently too. Not dead yet, but they are not looking so good. My Zygo's have never had a problem though, go figure.
