Default Max. tenuifolia

My tenuifolia is dropping it's flowers but is putting out lots of new growth. It's still in the original pot and moss as when I bought it. Should i leave it alone or repot?

I'm not an expert on this one, but it sounds like the perfect time to repot.

How long have you had it? Does the moss look old?

The moss doesn't look to bad. I bought it about 3 weeks ago. It's in a plastic pot with only 1 hole in the bottom.

I would repot it, just to see how the roots are doing, etc. Nothing like fresh medium and your own TLC. These guys love lots of air flow, but don't like alot of extra space, so don't oversize the pot too much. And I would stick to moss as they like to stay on the moist side. Good luck!

Just wondering is this an intermediate or hot growing?
I have had some friends living in lowland tropics with difficulties of blooming this chid even though the new growth are coming nicely.

I would say they are more intermediate to cool growers. If you look up the culture of it, it says cool to warm, medium lights, and keep moist. I've got this Max, but have only had this one for a short time. I have had a Max variabilis for over two years, and it seems to thrive on the cool side, with bright light, good air flow, and in moist moss. They also resent repotting, so that might slow them down a bit, but not long. I find these are very easy to grow and bloom. They are one of my all-time favorites.
