The plant is finally in full flower! It is really pretty. Unfortunately, two of the three buds have some damage to them. I think it was caused by the leaves laying on the bud. Next time I will tie the leaves together as I see in the pictures of the Lycastes at shows. Anyway, enjoy.

GORGEOUS!

Yes Lycaste blooms bruise very easily so staking and protecting them from any bumps is essential.

Thanks for the advice Brooke. I will protect them next time. I am surprised how sturdy they are without the stakes though. I will make sure to take better care next time. Either way, it is still pretty in my eyes.
