Guess they got tired of people calling.

So Galeopetalum "Trader Joe's" here is getting rid of it's flowers, unfortunately. I have no idea what it initially started spiking, I image not long before it was shipped over to the Trader Joe's near me, but it's held the flowers for however long it was arriving at the Trader Joe's plus 4 weeks, so it's likely the correct time to be getting rid of the flowers.

Should I wait a couple more days to cut to the flower stalk, and then repot it?

What's the rush? If it is showing new growth, a good time to repot. If it isn't and the medium isn't a disaster, you can wait a bit. Zygos do like to be on the damp side.

I just think it'd be more comfy in a bigger pot and fresher medium.

I haven't seen any new leaves or pseudobulbs yet, or at least I haven't looked close enough to notice any. I have seen some root growth. I'll look again tonight.

Root growth is the "pot me now" trigger, new roots adjust to their new medium. (New growth is often an easy to see indicator for root growth, but if you can actually see the roots, better because it's the rotos we're after) Choose pot for about 2 year's growth no more.

How's your Galeopetalum "Trader Joe's" holding up? I got a similar one around the same time as you and its pseudobulbs have stayed wrinkly but otherwise healthy. I couldn't figure out what it was either, my guess was Zygo. Debbie de Mello but there's too much green.

It's doing good. It's been growing new little bulbs. I make sure to water it ever so often when the moss starts to get a little close to dry.

Glad to hear it! Mine is in it's original pot but I need to move it, is yours in full sphagnum?

Yes, it's in a basket-esque pot with all sphagnum. I'll actually try to remember to flush the medium out next time I water, just to help the moss from breaking down too quickly.
