Default Maxillaria tenuifolia 'Yamada'

from carmelas. blooming small sized plants. did well for me last time. they grow fast when grown well.

really nice shaped flower, just not enough of them and they smell very good too..

I got one too. It wasn't advertised as being in bloom. Nice surprise. I did buy it because it was advertised as being fragrant. I can't detect much, if any, scent from it.

It does seem to like its conditions and new growths are shooting up all over. Enjoy yours. Maybe mine will smell more when it warms up. It 72ish most days. Not much I can do about that till I get the toy greenhouse assembled.

I need 2 more of therm. Going to put them all in a large basket. instant huge plant. Instant WOW from all your friends and family.

Ive seen judges dig thru large baskets looking for things like this.

its just for me so its okay. I can stick all my plants in one basket if I want too!!!

much smaller flowers than the standard tenuifolia.
and coconut scented, if you must compare them to coconut. puts forth lots of those flowers with plenty of smell . buried in sphagnum and bark with a light frosting of spanish moss.
