Default Huntleya burtii

My little friend Huntleya burtii went from tight bud to full display this morning. This is a particularly nice blooming.

After years of failure with various Huntleya, I'm fairly confident that consistently high humidity and carefully maintained temperatures, with a strict diurnal range make all the difference.

That's gorgeous! I suspected something like that for conditions, which I can't meet well enough to keep them happy. I've given up on them so especially admire success!

They definitely let you know when they're unhappy, and sometimes with an alarming swiftness. It's horrible.

I'm very pleased that I seem to have them figured out, at least for the time being....
