I grow it with the rest of the Cattleyas in bright light and 60-85F. Humidity is 70% or more. The plant sits in a clay pot within another clay pot in a bark mix. It is watered frequently, with no dry rest.

The best flowering was when it was in a plastic pot and the mix was coco husk and perlite:

Excellent flowering of this species, which is not very easy to find. I like the scent too--although it's one that is, for me, better experienced from a short distance (a bit overwhelming if you stick your nose in a bloom). Congratulations. This makes me miss the plant I had (donated to a botanical garden and promptly killed).

That is amazing! Mine is supposed to arrive from Ecuagenera today. I ordered it after I looked it up on IOSPE and found it grows among rocks above the beach in Brazil. I figured it must be able to tolerate some heat.
