Default New to the world of orchids..

Hey,

I'm a girl from Holland and all new to the forum.
After a few attempts to not kill my houseplants I finally getting the hang of taking care of some of my plants, others I'm still figuring out but I'm enjoying the proces.

My favorite houseplants are my orchids. One of my orchids survived me and now is flowering for the second time. As a newbie I'm super happy. The fact that my orchid is thriving now made me want to give it another try to really get into plants ..like my mother, I always envied how good she is with plants and now I'm learning from my own experiences.

What I like most is recieving plants from friends who have neglected them and don't want to take care of them anymore. It's fun to try and see if I can help the plant recover. This way I learn more about the plants and sometimes it's a succes which makes me really happy.

Also my mom gives me little plantlets sometimes that I try to grow into adults.

So that's what I prefer now over buying new plants and I'm here to learn a little bit more about orchids because I just recieved two neglected plants and I'm not sure if I can still safe them, hope to find some info here to make them better before it is too late.

Welcome to the OB LittleOrchy 🙂
I'm new to growing orchids as well. I also like to try and save sick orchids, although it's mostly from myself 😉 I've been learning a lot here, I'm sure you will too!
