Good day members, my Oncidium (Odcdm.) Catatante 'Los Robles' (See attached pics), coming to the end of it's blooming cycle. I have noticed that the leaves have turned yellow and fallen off of an old pseudobulb, I figure that this is normal. But today I noticed that the pseudobulb is turning yellow to, my question is: does this mean that the old pseudobulb is dying and if it is should I remove it. Zoren....

It is an old p-bulb, and its stored reserves are being resorbed by the rest of the plant. It will likely turn beige and parchment-like in a matter of weeks when that process is complete, and you may remove it at that time by merely tugging at it.

Thank you again for your expertise, I thought that is what was happening, but I wanted to be safe. this oncidiuum lasted a fairly long time maybe 2 months already and the spike is about 2.5 feet long with a lot of flowers. I have it in my living room to enjoy.
Ray, I would like your opinion of this Psychopsis Mariposa (see attached), I've had a number of Psychopsis over the years, but this one looks different. So, I would like your opinion about this one. By the way, do you respond to personal messages? Zoren....

I'm a little surprised that no one addressed my (other than Ray about the yellowing situations), but I also asked about my Psychopsis Maraposa (species) that to me looked 'deformed'. Well, now it is at the end of it's cycle so I guess I really don't have to worry about it, I will take care of it and hopefully it will 'Not" re-bloom looking deformed. I would still like to have a members opinion.. Thank you all...Zoren...

I haven't grown Oncidiums for a while so I did not want to offer an opinion. The closest relative/hybrid I have is a Burr. Nelly Isler and the pseudobulbs tend to stay green and plump, even when the new bulb is growing, as long as the roots remain healthy. Often times, if it bloomed from just one side previously, the older growth will even send out another bloom spike from the other side.

If this is the first bloom on the Psychopsis, then it might stay that way. There actually is a peloric one that looks a lot like that (though the flower parts aren't so folded over), called Psychopsis Mariposa 'Three Lip'

As to no one answering your question, it's not that surprising. Often people won't answer if they don't know, and with no new replies the thread disappears from the list of recent threads, which reduces exposure. In that case you can just bump the thread with a gentle reminder.

I'm not sure I understand correctly; are you intending to cut the spike? Please don't. It will bloom sequentially from that spike for a long time! Plants sometimes have distorted flowers on the first blooming. No worries.

And... Your second question should have been placed in its own, new thread, rather than added to an already-answered one. That's known as "hijacking" - changing the subject mid-thread - but in this case, you did it to yourself!

Good morning members, I'd like to thank all the members that gave there expertise and opinions to my questions, I have learned a lot. Not only about the yellowing situation but about the Psychopsis. I don't know if this was the first bloom I bought it in bud. I have 2 Psychopsis Maraposa, they where bought in spike and with a double bud (next to each other) and will probably bloom in about a month (maybe). Hopefully they will bloom 'normally', I'll keep you all posted.
I also learned a little more as to how to ask questions on the 'Forum', thank all of you again...Zoren..
