Red face Greetings from Northern Nevada!

Hi Orchid Board People!

I'm Laura from the Reno/Lake Tahoe area. A dear friend gave me my first orchid about 4 years ago, and I must say...growing them is a LOT OF FUN!! hehehehe!!

Have 3 NoID phals, a cattleya, and a mini-phal (all from orchid shows--not from big box stores). Not much of a garden, however they're growing and am amazed that they are!

My husband and I are retired and spend most of our time raising puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind (San Rafael, CA).

Been lurking on the board for a few months. Spring is popping up here lately, and I couldn't think of a better time to join!

All is grace,
-Laura

We have a member on your side of the country that rescues giant Snauzers. You'll have lots in common!

Thumbs up

You had me at Lake Tahoe followed by puppies! Sometimes I think tho that orchids are more demanding but equally appreciative of good care...minus the drools! Come back soon with puppy pix!

Welcome, Laura! Glad you decided to join. We have quite a few dog lovers on this board. And cats, too, of course! There are a couple people from my dog training club who also raise puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
