Default Hello from NYC Metro Area

Hello, I'm pretty new to orchids but have a moderate houseplant collection that is always growing. I've always avoided orchids because of their alleged finicky nature but took the plunge and bought a M. tenuifolia that will arrive in a few weeks which I hope I can keep alive.

I'm not really a forum person as I've found them to be a little... not so welcoming in the past but am finding many FB groups are not so helpful either. So I'm hoping to meet some friendly, knowledgeable people and learn more about orchids!

Welcome to the board, Queens NY here. If you don't know about it, Planting Fields Aboretum will have an orchid show in June this year.

Welcome to the board. This is a nice friendly bunch. I do hear ya on forums. I have been on different kinds and some can be a bit snarky.

Welcome! It starts with 1 orchid, but that's like eating one potato chip. You will find lots of friendly advice and encouragement here!
