Default fungal infection on my orchid? Is this spreadable?

Hi- just found this problem on cattela orchid, brown/black areas on the leaves but not the roots. The roots look healthy. Is this fungal? can I just cut off the infected leaves?

We'd really need to see a good quality photo of the plant and the issue to be able to make a reasonable recommendation.

I agree with Ray, the pictures leave more questions than answers. However from what I see, it looks very dehydrated.

I agree. My guess is it's in far too large a pot, and it hasn't been getting enough water. That could be from not watering or from mostly dead roots.

The black spot looks to me more like sunburn than fungus, but I can't see it well enough.

Both your plants like others have said look dehydrated. Also the Cattleya it looks like is in much to small bark mix.
