Default Breaking the ice after a turbulent start

Hello everyone
In my flustered and excitement of joining the forum, I went straight ahead with my questions before even introducing myself. Forgive me this ride behaviour.

My name is Raymond and I am from South Africa. I like collecting orchids, exotic plants, birds and fish. The more unique and unusual the better. Currently I have 30 orchids in my apartment because I do not have a greenhouse (I'm still a student). I also have a few nepenthes and African violets. The most intriguing orchid to me is the Dracula Vampira. I also love exotic orchids native to my own continent such as angeacum. I have only ever killed 3 orchid in my three years of growing (to be fair I bought a sickly orchid with hopes of reviving it). I'm excited to absorb the wearth of knowledge on this group and cannot wait to learn and discover. My biggest orchid achievement is blooming an oncidium twinkle with 64 flowers.

Welcome, Raymond.
I'm sure most of us started by asking a question. At least I think that's what I did and would be surprised if not.
Welcome again.

Thumbs up

Hey there! Sounds like you have a very good track record and growing orchids is a wonderful way of reversing the stress of being a student. Good luck with blooms and books.
