Climatic conditions are favorable for growing orchids in many parts of the world. I say this primarily because I live in So Cal. We can all use trial and error to mount orchids on trees. As my friend, Epiphyte, says, "Don't keep all your eggs in one basket". The key is to research growing conditions of a specific orchid before splitting it and mounting it on a tree. If it didn't work all would not be lost.

Imagine entire cities with trees covered in orchids. I think it is possible. We just need to start. Remember the old adage- "The grass is always greener on the other side". Well, our neighbors see our orchids mounted and before long they too start mounting orchids and so on...

Hi everyone,
I would like to report that all of the orchids are doing great, and most have rebloomed for me!

Here are some pictures:

Phals and Dendrobium aggregatum (past their prime)

Several oncidiums/gomesa (a big spike right next to the D. aggregatum), and my Vanda Pachara Delight, whoch now has roots all around the trunk

Lots of phals, some have lost all their blooms already

Three kinds of sharry baby oncidiums, white, red and yellow twinkles, C. intermedia and a bunch of other stuff
