Hi pulp,
seems that we follow the same strategy. I am new in the field but I think that darkness in Sweden should not be a serious problem. Acually orchids in nature prefer places too dark for other plants. Currently I'm trying to figure out what is better: dipping at night or during daytime. According to the so called CAM model orchids need good air circulation at night to fix CO2, whivh is different to other plants. Any experience?

Thanks guys! Have expanded my collection since I wrote the first post, hehe! Currently waiting for 19 other plants (3 are surprise seedlings, funnily enough almost look forward to them the most!) from Germany.
Glucke so far my plants are growing well, I am planning to buy some led-lights to put in a couple of windows that only get northern light. Mine are in water so I can't say which is best, some of their roots are in water all the time.
