Default Total newbie and beyond addicted

Hello everyone, I am an absolute newbie with orchids but for some reason I have been so addicted to their beauty. I live in NYC and am now finding my way. Currently I have been collecting the most common Phalaenopsis of which are thankfully thriving in my apartment with a total of 6. Today I paid a visit to my flower district and purchased yet another orchid but am entirely unsure of what variety so I will post in the Identification forum as I have a feeling I'll be living there for a while.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and communicating with fellow orchid lovers...

Hiya Nightraven and welcome,

You do know that you'll never be able to go visit the flower district again without picking up another orchid, don't you?

So you might want to start looking for another place, something with more room..you'll be running out of space pretty soon

I have a good number of NoID (No ID) Phal's in my collection. They are colorful, easy to grow as orchids go, and I think they are a great variety to begin learning about these plants.

Again, welcome to the site and enjoy!

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome!! Yes it's true, I'm already planning my second visit to the flower district next week as I saw a beautiful lady slipper I can't seem to get off my mind. Once again, really looking forward to chatting with all of you...
