I am an American living in Germany, and for the first time in my life, I am living in a house with enough room (and good windows) for plants inside, as well as a good sized yard. Needless to say, I have been going a bit plant crazy!

I bought my first orchid this year, back in March, and I have acquired three more since then (two today). I am at the point where I am looking for good advice so I can care for them properly, although I don't think I have done too bad so far. None of them have died, anyways, and both of the ones I have had for more than two months are showing growth.

One of the biggest problems I have living in this area is that my German language ability is insufficient for conversing in great detail with the knowledgeable people at the local nurseries who do not speak English. Therefore, the internet is the resource I turn to.
