Default Hi, from East Texas!

Hey, folks! New to the forum, but not to orchids. Been growing for ten years, this coming March. I lost my last collection (at least almost all of it) to a freeze, a few years back, and only had a handfull of orchids from then, to now. I have recently gotten a new greenhouse, built a new wardian case, and gotten back into the hobby. I prefer species to hybrids, personally, though I do dabble in hybridizing (mostly primaries), and my favourite orchids are Cattleyas and their relatives and Pleurothallids.

I look forward to lots of orchid babble!

-Cj

Welcome Cj. Many of us grow in orchid cases (tanks) either supplemental or exclusively. We would love to see pictures of your setups as well as enjoy having you join in on discussions and offer advice where you are comfortable. Glad you joined in.

Hey, Cj - I'm in East Texas, too (Mineola).
Do you know if there is an Orchid Society around here that we could go to?
Thanks!
