Introducing Me

I am new to this forum as well as a new orchid owner. I got mines for valentines and have been doing some research. It seems to be identified as a dendrobium phal well I hope it is

I am having some issues maintaining its proper health as I recently discovered the roots of the mother plant was rotten and a healthy keiki is growing from the base.

I really love this plant and hope to learn from you all. Nice to be part of the forum and your advice will be appreciated.

(I will add a pic for more specificity as soon as I figure how to...lol)
