Greetings from beautiful British Columbia Canada.
I am not a complete newbie to orchids, but I am no expert. I have found my way back to the hobby now that I am a stay at home mom. It has been 12 or more years since I have grown any orchids and I am excited to be building a small collection already. 30 plants is small right, my hubby doesn't think so
I am getting some help from the great guys at Paramount Orchids, (about 5 minutes from my home) and collecting cheap but abused orchids from the B.C. orchid gardens ( 5 minutes in the other direction). The B.C. orchid gardens operate on a bring it in in-bloom and sell when the blooms are spent basis and are not really much of an orchid garden, but I am fortunate to be able to pick up many varieties for 5 bucks, and with some luck can bring them back to good health.
This is such an informative forum and I am looking forward to learning from and with all of you.
