Hello! I'm new.

Hello everyone! I'm so glad to have found this great website. I'm pretty new to keeping orchids, but I love them. I got my first one last summer and was so inspired that it rebloomed, I just got 3 more. A nice lady at work lent me some books on their care, and even gave me a violet to try not to kill, so I'm even more determined to get better at keeping plants. I have historically not had good luck keeping anything but the simplest plants alive, but I am serious about learning more. I will appreciate any photos of beautiful flowers, the daydreaming I'll get from seeing some for sale, and any advice I can get when I'm having problems.

Aside from orchids, I'm really into hand crafts like sewing, knitting, and papercrafts. I do lots of variations on those three media; fiber, fabric, and paper. I also write journals and pen pal, and I'm an active member of Swap-Bot.com, a site that organizes mail trades.
