Hey from England I'm a total newbie when it comes to both orchidboard and growing orchids, so I'm basically here to find out how not to kill my plants! I'm looking forward to being enlightened and am very pleased to meet you all. I'm sure my orchids are glad I found you too!

Welcome. I've been growing orchids since 1987 (and I still have 1 of my original plants). I find I am learning good stuff from this forum everyday!

Wow, that's before I was even born! It's amazing to think how much there is to know about orchids. I suspect this will become a life long and potentially very expensive obsession... and I'm looking forward to having you all there to guide me along the way!

Oh and thankyou for the welcome!

You sound like me. I also ended up here because I realized I needed some tips and advice to avoid killing my plants.

My orchids and I are so happy I eventually found my way here.

Welcome! And enjoy.

Thankyou, thankyou!

My orchids were actually given to me by an ex boyfriend - after the breakup he told me to throw them away but I didn't have the heart. I sort of opted to ignore them instead but they looked extra sad yesterday so I've decided to love them despite their unfortunate origins
