Hallo everyone.

I'm a new member on this forum. I love growing orchids. Especially Vanda and Ascda. Unfortunatly I don't have a lot of space, because I have to grow them in my windowsill. I don't have room for a greenhouse. And here in Holland it's not really possible to put them oudside 24/7. But when the weather is good I put them oudside in the garden. I hope to learn a lot here.

Willeke

Welcome to Orchid Board Willeke

I'm sure you will love it here, lots of friendly people willing to share photos and knowledge

We have at least a couple of other members from The Netherlands. Camille lived there until recently and Blueszz lives near where Camille used to be.

I think we have a lot of Vandaceos fans here. We have three Vandaceos sub-forums...

Vanda Alliance - Neofinetia!
Vanda Allience - Angreaceum/Aerangis!
Vanda Alliance - others!

I think you will enjoy yourself

Hello Willeke, welcome on OB!
Living in the Netherlands and growing Vanda's too. I have some Anco hybrids and a Vanda (Trudelia) cristata (and lots of other orchids heh).

Welcome fellow vanda lover! I only have windows to grow in as well. I put mine out for the summer here, but it sometimes gets a little cool at night, so I often bring them in and put them in an east window so they catch the first sun in the morning. When it warms up, I put them back out.

Appingedam is very famous. I must admit that I have never been there, but I have heart of it.
